St. George's Methodist Chapel, Church Street This modern chapel was built in 1967. The foundation stone reads "THIS STONE WAS LAID TO THE GLORY OF GOD/ SATURDAY 1st APRIL 1967". The chapel was registered for marriages on 2nd August 1967. The chapel was still in use in 2020 but has since closed and was put up for sale in 2022. Grid ref: SJ 707108
