[former] Obley Primitive Methodist Chapel, in the parish of Clunbury It was said at the time that a want for a Primitive Methodist chapel had long been felt in the neighbourhood. Tenders were invited for the building of this chapel in April 1880. It was then built at a crossroads in a remote location and opened on Sunday the 19th September of that year. The cost of the building was about £140. The architect was Mr Thomas Evans of Brampton Bryan and the builder was Messrs Jones & Son of Bishop's Castle. The chapel was registered as a place of religious worship on the 22nd October 1880. The building was still in use as a chapel in 1949 but was sold in 1970, and de-registered as a place of religious worship on the 21st June 1971. About 2003 it was converted to residential use.
