Oakengates United Church (URC & Methodist) This modern church, right in the town centre of Oakengates, was designed by R. Bellamy. It is used both by the United Reformed Church and the Methodists & opened in 1981. The building was registered for marriages on 11th February 1982. It is still in use in 2023. Grid ref: SJ 696110
